SpatialStories uses Mecanim (Unity) to trigger animations:
All you need is an Animator Controller component that can either be at the root of the IO or directly in the visuals if it comes from an animated 3D model made in an external software. The Animation action reads the trigger parameters that have been set up in the Animator Window of the Interactive Object. In this example, the parameter ‘fly’ is needed in order for the animation to start (blue arrow transition). An interaction will read this parameter and launch it when its conditions are met.
You can either ACTIVATE the animation action to trigger an animation or choose to DEACTIVATE the animator.
After activating the animation, choose the Animator Controller in the list and then under OnTrigger choose the parameter you want to trig.
